Derby placements, Qualified All Age at 2 years old, and an Open 4th at 3 years. Rusty died in my arms at an early age from a disease called pythiosis. He had gastrointestinal pythiosis which is usually a fatal disease. He was taken from us much too soon, as he was only 4 years old. You can read more about this terrible disease on my new website http://www.pythiosis.com . My hope is that one day there will be a cure and preventative vaccine. Rusty had the heart of a lion, as I had no idea how sick he was until the day he died, when he could not swallow without vomiting. He had a fever and wouldn't eat earlier this month and was treated with antibiotics which made him feel much better so we began training again. He faced everyday with spirit and determination giving 100%, so it was hard to know how sick he had become. I am sure you must know our hearts are broken as there will never be another dog that can replace him.
